DOUG STANHOPE is returning to the UK for two-week tour in October. The comic last performed in Britain in 2012, selling out London's Hammersmith Apollo in hours. This time he kicks off in Glasgow on October 2 and ends in Salford on October 17. He also lasy Dublin at the end of the month. Dates

TOM PARRY has won a £1,500 prize for the best poster at the Edinburgh Fringe. The Pappy's member won the Comedy Poster Award chosen by an industry panel for his show Yellow T-Shirt last night. Michael Stranney and Olaf Falafel won the same amount for the people's choice award, after garnering most votes for posters for their two-hander Expect The Unexporcupine, for which Falafel created 21 different designs.

30 ROCK star Tracy Morgan will host Saturday Night Live on October 17, his first major TV performance after suffering serious injuries in a road accident in June last year. Morgan, who got a break as a regular cast member on the NBC show said he was 'stoked to be going home'.

INBETWEENERS creators Iain Morris and Damon Beesley have left production company Bwark to set up their own outfit, called Fudge Park. It is said to have already secured unnamed commissions from the BBC and Channel 4, as well as having a slate of comedy films in development.

JON STEWART has announced his first TV engagement since stepping down from The Daily Show two weeks ago. In a change from politics, he will be hosting the WWE's pay-per-view SummerSlam event this Sunday from Brooklyn.
