Chris Rock plans Top Five follow-up

'If it’s not broke, don’t fix it’

Chris Rock is working on a follow-up to Top Five, his film about a stand-up wanting to become a serious actor.

The comic says he plans to work with 'a lot of the same cast' and is being pressured by producer Scott Rudin to 'work at a faster pace'.

And he said he was 'really happy; with how Top Five turned out, commenting: 'if it's not broke, don't fix it'.

Rock's revelation came in an interview with Complex, in which he said: 'I like doing movies. I'm doing another one soon.'

And of the cast of the follow-up, he said: ' You might want to see a little more of Leslie Jones or Tracy [Morgan], once he gets better.'

Rock also told the site that he would probably be hitting the comedy clubs this summer to work on material for a possible neew tour

Top Five – which Rock wrote, directed and starred in – is not due to be released in the UK and Ireland until May – five months after its US release. It has already has grossed just over $25million.
