BILL BAILEY is to launch his new tour show Limboland in Australia in October and November. The blend of stand-up and music looks at the perception gap between how our lives really are, and how we imagine them to be. It includes a date at the Sydney Opera House (October 16) as part of the city's Just For Laughs festival. The antipodean spin-off from the Montreal festival will also feature Rhys Darby, Trevor Noah and Jim Gaffigan.

CHANNEL 4 is to air two short films by comedians in its Shooting Gallery strand. Spencer Brown's film The Boy with a Camera For a Face, narrated by Steven Berkoff, and Worm, starring Tom Basden, will air at midnight on Monday July 21.

DES O'CONNOR is to release a collection of comic verse, called Laughter Lines.The entertainer has been writing the poems for several years, performing them in his one-man shows.

DIGITAL channel Sony Entertainment Television has bought the rights to air the fifth series of US comedy series Hot In Cleveland, which stars Betty White from Golden Girls and Jane Leeves from Frasier. It will receive its UK premiere on August 11, starting with an episode which aired live in America.
