The comedy week ahead...

Today

TV: Messrs Enfield and Whitehouse return to BBC Two to parody 50 years of the channel in Harry And Paul's Story Of The 2s. They spoof around 50 shows and 150 personalities, including Monty Python, The Great British Bake Off, Tim Nice But Brooke Taylor, The Office and Boys From The Blackstuff. Should be a blast... BBC Two, 9pm

RADIO: The Men From The Ministry has been a staple comedy rerun on Radio 4 Extra, but today's episode - Flushed With Success from 1973 - is a debut, airing to mark what would have been the 100th birthday of Deryck Guyler (though they are almost a month late). The actor played Lennox-Jones in the show 1966 until 1977. He washboard=player, Sykes and Please Sir! regular and inspiration for the voice of Churchill in the insurance ads (how sad that this is his legacy) retired to Australia with his wife and died there in 1999. Radio 4 Extra, 3.30pm

LIVE IN LONDON: Nina Conti hosts an evening of eclectic cabaret, comedians and 'oddballs experimenting with new material' at the Soho Theatre's perfect downstairs venue at 7pm. Then stick around for American smartarse Greg Proops, with his Smartest Man In The Word podcast at 9.30pm.

LIVE IN LONDON: Michael Che is tipped by pretty much everyone who matters in the States as a star of the future – and certainly when we saw this laid-back but insightful comic at Edinburgh last summer, two-thirds of the hour were impressive… until he ran out of steam. Review. Now he's at the Soho Theatre until Monday.

Wednesday May 28

LIVE IN LONDON: Still at the Soho Theatre, Carey Marx presents his show about his heart attack… he, he! Intensive Carey is as sharp, sweet and cheeky as always in this engrossing storytelling show, packing both wit and a romantic punch. On til Sunday. Review

Thursday May 29

LIVE IN WOLVERHAMPTON Daniel Kitson in compere mode is always worth a mention, and tonight he's on hosting duties at Charity Hilarity in the Wolverhampton Grand. He's by no means the only attraction, though, as Jon Richardson and Josh Widdicombe double-headline a bill that also includes Josie Long, Pappy's, Elis James and Isy Suttie.

LIVE IN CARDIFF: What is effectively Mike Wozniak's rich and wry hour-long subversion of the mother-in-law gag, Take The Hit, comes to the Chapter Arts Centre. Enjoy the discomfort an frustrations of a mild-mannered everyman coping with his wife's parents coming to stay... Review

LIVE IN LONDON: Mike Wilmot hilariously mocks himself for the Comedy Store audience this weekend, leading a fine club bill that also includes Joe Lycett, Justin Moorhouse and Steve Gribbin.

Friday May 30

LIVE IN NOTTINGHAM: A good mix of the promising up-and-comers and established old hands at the Glee tonight and tomorrow. Former BBC best newcomer Angela Barns and 2012 Chortle best newcomer nominee Matt Rees allegedly join the playfully dark Carey Marx – but given he's doing his solo show in London, expect a last-minute change of line-up.
