THE INBETWEENERS 2 has been given a release date of  August 6 in the UK and Ireland. Set in Australia, it will reunite Jay, Neil, Simon and Will – with the hope of matching the estimated £80million global box office take of the original.

MUSICAL comedian Rachel Parris has joined the Game Of Thrones fan programme Thronecast on Sky Atlantic. The show returns on April 7, immediately after the first episode in the new series airs. Parris, who will co-host with Jamie East, said: 'My frankly unhealthy obsession with the show has been Growing Strong for a while now, and it's amazing to get to share that with so many fans. Hear me roar!'

PIERRE PIERRE, the clown alter-ego of 26-year-old Daniel Harvey has become the latest Chortle Student Comedy Award semi-finalist after triumphing at the heat at the University of Kent in Canterbury last night. The next stop of the competition, with ALCATEL ONETOUCH and Universal Pictures (UK), is at the Mandela Hall in Belfast tonight:

JAY & SILENT BOB – aka Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes – are heading to the UK and Ireland for five dates this summer, including the UK premiere of their Super Groovy Cartoon Movie at the Hammersmith Apollo on July 1, followed by a Q&A. The pair will also be at Dublin Vicar Street on June 28; the Birmingham Academy on June 29; Bristol Colston Hall on July 2 and Manchester Apollo on July 3. Tickets, priced £30 and £35, will be on sale from 9am Friday.

BIG BANG THEORY has been recommissioned for three more years, at a reported cost to US network CBS of $4 million per episode.
