DAVID CROSS and Bob Odenkirk, creators of cult US sketch programme Mr Show, are reuniting for a book tour. The pair – along with fellow comedian Brian Posehn – are to publish Hollywood Said No!, two of their film scripts that were never picked up by film studios, in the autumn. The book also includes comic versions of the notes they received from executives about the projects, Sketch Movie and Hooray For America! as well as orphaned sketch ideas, such as Nineteen Fifty Bleven, about a past President's eradication the number between seven and eight (bleven). The book is out in the UK and the US in September, and Cross and Odenkirk will be embarking on a US book tour to coincide with the publication.

A PLAQUE is to be unveiled to Kenny Everett outside his last home in Kensington, West London. The tribute at 91 Lexham Gardens – where the comic lived from 1985 until his death in 1995 – coincides with a new authorised biography, Hello Darlings!, written with the support of his family. The event – a fundraiser for the Terence Higgins Trust – takes place on September 14. More details

KEVIN BRIDGES has donated the suit he wore in his first stand-up DVD to homeless charity Shelter, which are selling it off in an online auction. The 26-year-old said: ‘I wore this suit at the recording of my first DVD but I’ve lost a bit of weight since then, so anyone who was the same size as me three years ago, get bidding.’ The auction at shelter.org.uk/sheltershops opens at 9pm tonight.

JUSTIN LEE COLLINS has been ordered to pay £327 after admitting speeding on in his Mini Cooper. The 38-year-old will also take six penalty points on his licence after pleading guilty to driving at 76mph in a 50mph zone on the M5 in Gloucestershire in September.

COUNT ARTHUR STRONG has been moved to an earlier slot in the BBC Two schedules – and switched days. The first two episodes aired at 8.30pm on Monday, but episode three goes out at 8pm tonight. The series debuted with an audience of just under a million – down on the slot average – while a second series has already been commissioned.
