R4 wants more from Nathan Caton

New series commissioned

Radio 4 has commissioned a second series of Nathan Caton’s radio show.

Another six quarter-hour episodes of Can't Tell Nathan Caton Nothin’ are to be taped at London’s Up The Creek comedy club next month.

Like the first series, which aired in March last year, the show is a sitcom about his own life as a comic who disappointed his parents by going into stand-up, rather than using his architecture degree.

Caton – a previous winner of the Chortle Student Comedy Award – said: ‘It's a sitcom show but sort of narrated via my stand-up which breaks up the show. Think a West Indian Seinfeld.’

‘It's semi-biographical, about living with my family post-graduation and the various relationships that develop between myself and the different family members while trying to live my own life as a comedian.’
