Jo Brand's etiquette guide

Comic pilots chat show for Sky 1

Jo Brand is to host a new comedy chat show about awkward social situations.

Sky 1 commissioned a one-off pilot of Help Me I’m Human earlier this year, and now makers Hat Trick have confirmed Brand as host.

The show will feature three celebrity guests discussing such matters of etiquette as how often can you say ‘pardon?’ when you don’t understand someone’s accent or how do you know whether to hug, kiss or handshake.

A cast of comedy actors will act out the scenarios to help confront theawkward dilemmas.

Brand is also developing a panel show, Jo Brand's Great Wall Of Comedy in which two teams are quizzed on comedy classics.

Help Me I’m Human is being recorded in front of a studio audience in Elstree, Hertfordshire, in December. See our free tickets page if you want to be among them.
