Line-up details released

The Latitude festival has announced its comedy line-up,   featuring Jack Dee, Tim Minchin and Radio 4's Infinite Monkey Cage.

The event in Southwold, Suffolk, on July 12 to 15 will be Dee's only festival appearance this summer.

Meanwhile Pub Landlord Al Murray, who has just announced his own tour will join hosts Robin Ince and Brian Cox in the Infinite Monkey Cage session, based on the radio show which takes a populist approach to science.

Other acts announced for the comedy arena include Reginald D Hunter, Russell Kane, Lee Nelson and Greg Davies and Rich Hall – while the cabaret tent includes the likes of The Horne Section, Tina C, Dr Brown and Cardinal Burns, fresh from their new E4 series,

And Simon Munnery will be running his conceptual restaurant La Concepta – nominated for the 2012 Chortle Award for innovation – at the event.

Music headliners are Bon Iver, Elbow and Paul Weller, although the festival is keen to promote itself as an all-round arts event, with literary, theatre, comedy and film section given just as much emphasis as the bands.

Melvin Benn, the founder of the festival, said: 'This year's line-up will once again see Latitude present a bill of sensational artists at the peak of their careers.'

Ticket-holders will also be invited to a series of events in London in the run-up to the festival.
