Pete and Dud: Back from the dead

Comics to resurrect their lost sketches

Some of Peter Cook and Dudley Moore’s lost material is to be recreated for a new TV show.

Forty years ago the BBC erased 13 out of 23 episodes from the duo’s classic sketch show Not Only But Also.

Now Jonathan Ross is to host a tribute to them, featuring some of what archive footage does survive, interviews – and the resurrection of these sketches in live performance.

Adrian Edmondson, Alistair McGowan, Angus Deayton, Hugh Dennis, Nick Mohammed and Jonny Sweet are among those who will be acting out the sketches in front of a studio audience.

It is being made by Ross’s own production company, Hotsauce TV, which he set up with his wife Jane Goldman,

Pete and Dud: The Lost Sketches is being taped next Monday. See our free tickets page for details of how to be at the recording.
