• So what’s the deal with this? When Jerry Seinfeld rocked up to a recording of his new TV show The Marriage Ref in New York, his driver placed a police placard in the window, allowing him to park anywhere. Only thing is, the ID should only be used by cops – and Seinfeld’s driver has retired from the force. Turns out the permit expired in 2007, and only allowed parking near the Bronx narcotics bureau office anyway. Police – the real ones – are investigating…

• Dave Gorman became a comedian after attending workshops run by Frank Skinner.

• Wondering why German comedian Henning Wehn has been running ads on Chortle proclaiming fellow stand-up Alex Horne is a magnificent man? • Courtney Love says her fling with Steve Coogan was a big mistake. ‘I've been embarrassed before, but that was like a ten,’ she told Alan Carr. ‘He was very, very nice - nicely spoken, didn't know he was a super freak.’ She added that Billy Bob Thornton warned her to 'get out of’ the relationship’. She shad she feared she had ruined Coogan’s career, but added: ‘Without knowing I'd actually made him really cool.’

• Porn king Ben Dover was spotted last weekend at a comedy night in Kent, where he drank half a lager…

• Irish comic PJ Gallagher has been involved in his third motorbike crash within a year – and all at the Mondello Park race track in Naas, just outside Dublin. The 34-year-old, who fronts hidden camera show Naked Camera, crashed during a charity race, but got away with minor injuries to his arm. He said: ‘I’ve broken my collar bone in one accident and damaged my ankle in another fall so badly that I needed surgery, so I think I got off lightly. My hand is a bit battered, but it's all good.’

• Peter Kay wasn’t the first person to say “knobhead” on ITV1. Stephen K Amos recalls: ‘I said the word “knobhead” on Loose Women a little while back. I didn't even realise it was that bad a word. But they seemed to think it was.’
