Last Student Award finalist named
Will Scambler, who runs his own comedy club at Swansea University, has won the readers’ vote for the final place in the Chortle Student Comedy Award final.He polled more than 11 per cent of the 4,800 votes cast by comedy fans who watched clips of the entrants online.
He will now join Tom Rosenthal, Sam Gore, Nicola Bolsover, Nat Ewins, Dominic Cross, Laura Lexx, Max Dickens, Gabriel Ebulue, Laurie Blake, Iain Stirling and Joe Lycett at the final at the Edinburgh Fringe.
The event will take place at the Pleasance Dome at 11pm on August 25 – where the winer will take home the £1,000 top prize and the kudos of the title.
