Julian Clary announces 2027 tour
'No more hiding behind a stage persona – I’m going to be myself.'
Julian Clary has announced a 40-date live tour next year, entitled Fully Dilated.
It comes after the show previewed at last month’s Edinburgh Fringe – the first performances from the 'national trinket’ at the festival in 17 years.
The 67-year-old said: ‘I’m going to be talking about things on this tour that would get me flogged in Dubai. And pointed at in Peckham.
‘I have decided to open up to the public and reveal all. No more hiding behind a stage persona – I’m going to be myself. The question is will you be able to tell the difference?
‘In this show I will reveal intimate secrets of my life and share the traumas that have led me to lead the life of a camp comic and renowned homosexual.’
The tour kicks off with two dates at The Capitol in Horsham, on April 7 and 8 and includes two performances at the London Palladium (May 13 and 14) before concluding at Glasgow’s Pavilion Theatre on June 5.
