Ratings misery for Saunders

Thursday's audience figures aren't funny...

Jennifer Saunders new sitcom has continued to slump in the ratings.

The third episode of The Life and Times of Vivienne Vyle lost nearly a third of its viewers compared to last week.

Just 900,000 people tuned in at 9pm last night – just four per cent of the total audience.

The figure is just half the ratings of the debut show.

The Peter Serafinowicz Show, which follows, has also suffered another downturn.

It was seen by 800,000 viewers – again four per cent – which is 200,000 down on last week’s 1million.

Five's imported comedy 30 Rock also scored a four per cent audience share at 10.40pm, with 500,000 viewers, down 200,000 on the previous week.

The Graham Norton Show was the only comedy show to draw respectable figures last night, with 1.5 million viewers (8 per cent) but it too was down 200,000 viewers on last week’s debut.
