Al Murray gets another round

Pub Landlord's second Audience With... show

Pub Landlord Al Murray is to record a second Audience With… programme for ITV.

He is only the fourth comedian to have been asked to return to the show after Dame Edna Everage, who has done an unrivalled three shows in 1980, 1984 and 1988, Joan Rivers and Ken Dodd.

The show will be recorded in the week before its transmission, on October 27.

Much of the audience will be made up of invited celebrities, and in his last show, two years ago, Dean Gaffney, Abi Titmuss and Gordon Ramsay were among his victims.

The special comes ahead of the next series of Al Murray’s Happy Hour, which will return in January 2008.

Previous Audience With… stars have incuded Dudley Moore, Kenneth Williams, Billy Connolly and Victoria Wood.
