Boys grab Dawn's attention

New comedy interview series

Dawn French is to follow up her series about female comedians with a show about male stand-ups.

She has already interviewed a string of old-school and alternative acts for the forthcoming programme, Boys Who Do Comedy.

So far she has spoken to Frank Carson, Graham Norton, Hugh Dennis, Jack Dee, Alexei Sayle and Jethro.

French will also interview Ken Dodd – and her husband, Lenny Henry, who wrote on his blog that ‘it promises to be excellent TV’.

Her earlier show, Girls Who Do Comedy, ran for three episodes on digital channel BBC Four last year. Watch clips here
