Python musical extends run

Monty Python’s Spamalot has extended its run by four weeks – even though it isn’t due to open in the West End until October.

Demand for tickets has been so high, that the show  will now take bookings until May 26, 2007.

An additional two previews have also been added, on September 30 and October 1.

The show, which has already proved a smash on Broadway, officially opens at the Palace Theatre on October 16.

Written by Eric Idle and directed by Mike Nichol, it features new music by John Du Prez, and the cast includes Tim Curry, Hannah Waddingham and Tom Goodman-Hill.
