Comedy radio station launched online

A new internet radio station has been launched, aimed at showcasing new British comedy writers and performers.

Comedy 365 has been created by Brian West, who runs a regular sketch comedy gig at London’s Downstairs At The King’s Head under his stage name Brian Luff, and his co-producer Georgina Sowerby.

The station streams programmes from 7pm to midnight ever night, featuring material from the club nights, character comedy double act Data Radio and musical spoofs from Dogs Must Be carried.

West said: “There are very few ways for new writers and perfomers to expose their material to a broadcast audience. We hope that Comedy 365 will help change that, and give some talented newbies a taste of writing for a real radio audience."

Sowerby added: "We have been producing live fringe shows for new writers and performers for three years. Comedy 365 is a way of taking some of that new talent and exposing it to a much bigger audience."

Until now their company, Pepperstock, has specialised in comedy writing and stand-up workshops.
