Shuttleworth: The movie

Full-length film for comic creation

John Shuttleworth creator Graham Fellows has made a full-length film, set in the Shetland Islands.

He's hoping the movie, called It's Nice Up North, will get a release on DVD, TV and at film festivals.

He told the Liverpool Post: "Basically, I did a gig up there and just fell in love with the place. So I went back with a film crew.

"The premise of the film is that John thinks people up north are nicer and the further north you get the nicer they are. So to test this theory to the limit we decided to go to the Shetland Isles

"It's a sort of drama documentary with some structured scenes like phone conversations between John and his manager. But the natives were wonderfully spontaneous and I am very excited about it."

Fellows, who is about to tour in the guise of rock music expert Brian Appleton (dates) is now editing the footage.
