Friends reunited

Sitcom comeback planned already

The cast of Friends are already planning their comeback special - even before their final episode has aired.

Each of the six key actors is to be paid a record $2 million for the 90-minute reunion special, to air over the Thanksgiving holiday in November.

The show is set a year after the programme's finale - even though that moment will only have been screened six months earlier, in May.

Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox. Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer will film the special immediately after shooting the last episode.

A spokesperson for the NBC network said: "We knew it would be tough to get the Friends stars together again once they'd gone their separate ways. So we put an offer on the table to persuade them to film the reunion right away."

Meanwhile, Friends was named best TV show, and Aniston most popular actress at the American People's Choice Awards last night.
