Evans lands ANOTHER West End role

Lee Evans is to star in another West End show, it has been announced.

The 39-year-old comic will make his stage acting debut a revival of Samuel Beckett's Endgame from February.

The news comes in the same week that it was revealed that Evans will take one of the lead roles in the London run of The Producers, opposite Richard Dreyfuss, when it transfers from Broadway late in 2004.

Michael Gambon and Liz Smith will also be starring in Endgame, which opens at the Albery Theatre on March 10, with previews from February 25.

Beckett's 1957 play is about a blind, wheelchair-bound man passing the time by ordering servant Clov to do the tasks he cannot.

Between the two West End runs, Lee will film a new movie with Johnny Vegas. Slings & Arrows, is about a washed-up darts player and written by Sean Lock, Martin Trenaman and Vegas.
