Vic 'dumps Bob'

Comic writes new show with wife

Vic Reeves is planning to dump Bob Mortimer in favour of his new wife, according to reports.

The newlywed has written a show called Stupid with former exotic dancer Nancy Sorrell.

According to The Mirror's 3am column, Channel 5 has seen a pilot and are interested in a series.

At his wedding last month, Vic said of Nancy, 28: "We have the same sense of humour and love working on ideas together. we really fire off each other well."

If the reports are true, it will be the first time 44-year-old Vic - real name Jim Moir - has worked on a TV comedy without his sidekick, except for a little-seen Play UK show called Vic Reeves Examines.

The pair first met in 1986, when Bob, a lawyer at the time, saw Vic performing his show at the Goldsmiths Tavern in South London.
