Maisie Adam is to present a Radio 4 show about the Women's Euros.
The ardent football fan presented a four-part series for the channel in the lead-up to the Women’s World Cup in 2023 – as well as joining the Lionesses for a League Of Their Own special for Sky alongside Katherine Ryan that same year.
Her new show, Euros Fever will be recorded in front of a live audience at the Backyard Comedy Club in East London on June 23 and is likely to air very soon afterwards as the tournament kicks off in Switzerland on July 2, with England’s opening game on July 5, against France,
Producers say: ‘Are you excited to watch the Lionesses this summer? Comedian and football-obsessed Maisie Adam can't wait and wants to capture the magic you only get before a big international tournament.
'This is her ultimate guide to the Euros and guarantees to get you in the mood for the highs, the lows and the drama of the Women's Euros 2025.
‘She'll bring out some of her famous football-mad pals to chat about the glorious summer of footie we have ahead of us. They'll re-live some of their best/worst Euros moments, play games and give their predictions for the summer - is football coming home again?’
England won the last tournament in 2022.
Free tickets are available here – and even though it’s for the radio, audience members are encouraged to ‘come in your favourite footie strips, scarves and hats, the sillier the better - just no flares up any arses please.’
• Catherine Bohart’s topical show TL;DR is also returning to Radio 4 this summer, with recordings in London from July 24 to August 28. Free tickets for that are available here.
