Joel Dommett and Maisie Adam make a TV travel series
Channel 4 digital show is a tie-in with Boots
Joel Dommett and Maisie Adam have recorded a UK travelogue for Channel 4’s digital channels.
Summer Unboxed is a commercial tie-in with Boots, and involves the comics open a ‘mystery box’ that reveals what challenge and experiences they will undertake.
The five-part series sees them visit locations including a music festival, a classic seaside day out and a rural wellness retreat – all while using Boots health and beauty products.

The 15-minute episodes mark the latest in a series of branded programmes featuring comedians to be made for Channel 4.
John Tothill, Fatiha El-Ghorri, Babatunde Aléshé and Finlay Christie have made travel series with tourist boards; Mike Wozniak has made a money-management series with Experian; Chris Ramsey hosted an Christmas guide with Sainsbury’s while Ola Labib did a Ramadan series with Tesco. Most recently. Joe Wilkinson made a train-based travelogue with Britain’s railway operators.
Made by production company Electric Robin, Summer Unboxed with Maisie and Joel will premiere on Channel 4’s YouTube from June 19 with the boxset available to stream on Channel 4 later this summer. Highlights will also be available on Channel 4’s TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and made into a TV ad.
