Jamie Demetriou is working on a new TV series called A Group Of Modern Guys, Chortle can reveal.

Co-stars will include regular Ricky Gervais collaborator David Earl, whose credits include Alley Cats and After Life and is known for his live comedy alter-ego Brian Gittins.

Following our news, the British Comedy Guide reported that the show would revolve around men having clandestine meetings to discuss their feelings.

The Stath Lets Flats creator has kept a relatively low profile since his Netflix sketch show A Whole Lifetime with Jamie Demetriou aired in 2023.

He hosted Saturday Night Live UK last month and has made guest appearances in Funboys, The Simpsons, where he voiced Macedonian baseball star Aeropos Walkov, and Bob’s Burgers, where he voiced Gabriel in The Twinnening episode.

Demetriou will next be seen as Mr William Collins in the latest Pride And Prejudice adaptation, starring Emma Corrin, Jack Lowden and Olivia Colman, and due to air on Netflix in December.

A Group Of Modern Guys is directed by Tom Kingsley, who helmed 12 episodes of Stath Lets Flats and produced by Ben Hough. It is being made by Simon Bird and Jonny Sweet’s production company People Person Pictures.

Chortle has produced both the production company and Demetriou’s agent for comment.
