New podcast for Fern Brady and Alison Spittle
Four years after they last hosted Wheel Of Misfortune together,
Comedians Fern Brady and Alison Spittle are reuniting for a new podcast called Ignore That Feeling.
The pair previously hosted the Radio 5 Live podcast Wheel Of Misfortune together, until Brady left in 2022.
Both describe themselves as ex-Catholic women ‘who were never taught how to process a single emotion’ – a theme that runs through their conversation in the new podcast.
‘It’s been four years since Alison and I podcasted together so this return is long overdue,’ said Brady. ‘No one makes me laugh like her.’
Spittle added: ‘Fern Brady is my favourite comedian and person, so to do a podcast with her is an absolute delight.’
The weekly podcast launches on February 10 and is said to cover topics ranging from philosophy and artificial intelligence to reality television and noughties boybands, with ‘candid chaos’.
Brady, who appeared on series 14 of Taskmaster in 2022, released her debut memoir Strong Female Character in 2023, the same year her Netflix special Autistic Bikini Queen was released. Her debut novel High Energy Unpleasant is due in autumn this year.
Spittle is currently touring her show Big after its Edinburgh Fringe debut last year, where comedians voted it the best show of the festival. She created and starred in the television series Nowhere Fast and has appeared on Celebrity Gogglebox and Richard Osman’s House of Games.
Ignore That Feeling will be available on major podcast platforms as well as YouTube.
