Tall Tales hits the road next autumn
Susan Calman has announced her first live tour in ten years.
The comic will be taking her latest stand-up show, Tall Tales, across the UK from September to November 2026,.
In it, the comedian promises to talk about the ‘remarkable number of improbable adventures since her last tour… from cruising the world to driving tanks, from her enduring love of cats to the trials and triumphs of getting older.’
She said: ‘It’s been ten whole years since I last headed out on tour, and I couldn’t be more excited to get back on the road.
‘I’ve collected so many ridiculous and unbelievable stories over the last decade that it feels only right to share them in person - preferably while dancing badly. I can’t wait to see everyone across the UK again and have a joyful, hilarious time together.’
Calman began her professional life as a corporate lawyer, working everywhere from Death Row in the United States to the United Nations in Geneva, and even managing the vacuum cleaner and microwave department of an electrical superstore. In 2006, she left a promising legal career to pursue comedy full-time.
On TV, she has appeared on QI, Have I Got News For You, and Mock the Week an has spent the last six years hosing a number of Channel 5 travel series.
Tickets for the Tall Tales tour go on sale on Friday.
She is one of a raft of comedians announcing tours this week including James Acaster, Bill Bailey, Tim Key, Seann Walsh, Urzila Carlson, Sophie Garrard and YouTuber Rufus Rice
