THE finalists have been announced for the Leicester Square Theatre's Old Comedian Of The Year – including one act, Tim Shishodia, who won the venue's new comedian title five years ago. The others – all over 35 – are Toby Williams as George Ryegold, Gerry Howell, Jo Ogden, Sam Savage as Linda Larkin, Lynn Ruth Miller (who at 81, is the oldest competitor, and pictured above), Matthew Hollins, Charles Adrian Gillott as Ms Samantha Mann, Steve Jameson as Sol Bernstein, Tony Cowards, Tony Dunn and Vahid Jahangard. The final is on June 7 and the winner receives £1,000.

TRACY MORGAN and Walmart have reached a settlement over the accident on the New Jersey Turnpike which seriously injured the 30 Rock comedian and killed his colleague James McNair. The terms are being kept confidential, but Morgan issued a statement saying: 'Walmart did right by me and my family, and for my associates and their families. I am grateful that the case was resolved amicably.' He suffered broken leg bones, a broken nose and several broken ribs when a Walmart truck ploughed into the limo van he was travelling in last June.

SKY is to make the next series of Veep available on demand before its broadcast. It is putting all four seasons of Armando Iannucci's political comedy on its Box Sets service from July 4, appropriately enough, ahead of series 4's launch on July 15.

THE Lamer Tree Festival has announced its comedy line-up, including Ed Byrne, Bill Bailey, Sara Pascoe and Seann Walsh. The event takes place from July 16 to 19 near Salisbury. Full line-up.

MEANWHILE, the V Festival has also added 17 more comedy names to its line-up including Matt Richardson, Jarlath Regan, Suzi Ruffell and Tom Deacon. They join previously announced acts such as Frankie Boyle on August 22 and 23 at Hylands Park, Chelmsford and Weston Park, Staffordshire.
