Simon Amstell has announced five dates at London's Leicester Square Theatre in October; the first to go on sale for his international autumn stand-up tour, To Be Free. Tickets. He will also be performing nine work-in-progress gigs at the Edinburgh Fringe.

JAKE AND AMIR, the American comedy duo best known for their internet videos have announced two London dates. They will play two shows at the O2 Shepherds Bush Empire on September 8. The first show Jake Hurwitz, Amir Blumenfeld and Streeter Seidell Live, will be a mix of stand up, sketch and video; the second will be a live recording of the podcast If I Were You. Ticket are priced £20 for each show.

OMID DJALILI, Kevin Eldon, Dave Gorman, Katy Brand, Phill Jupitus, Francesca Martinez, David O'Doherty and Mark Watson are all appearing at the Edinburgh Book Festival this August, it has been announced.

KAYVAN NOVAK says he wants to return to practical-joke comedy following the success of Fonejacker and Facejacker. He told Radio 1's Newsbeat: I do plan to do more prank stuff. Those shows kind of ran their course and of course I want to do spin-offs.'
