Here’s the first clip of Steve Coogan in Funboys.

The Alan Partridge and Legends star plays a frustrated actor who's ended up at a folk museum playing a pompous, cruel and petty land steward at the time of the famine.

Elsewhere in series the boys of Ballymacnoose have to face ‘bigotry, balding and competitive robot combat’.

The comedy also  stars Ryan Dylan, Rian Lennon, Lee R James and Ele McKenzie

Coogan, sayid of his role: ‘I loved working with them. They are an original voice in comedy and they have bright futures ahead of them.’

The four-part series airs on BBC Northern Ireland and iPlayer on June 15, BBC Three on June 19 and BBC One on June 20.
