Rachel Parris revisits 'the world's most boring novels'

Classics get a rewrite for World Book Day

Some of history's greatest novels are given a comedy reworking for the new generation in this new sketch from the Dave channel.

Rachel Parris reads extracts from the new versions of Wuthering Heights, Animal Farm and The Great Gatsby, rewritten to make them less 'snoozeworthy'.

The new passages feature Boris the boar and Starmer the horse in Animal Farm, Heathcliff attending counselling for toxic masculinity and The Great Gatsby as a modern day financial influencer.

It has been released to coincide with World Book Day on Thursday.
