Clem Fandango returns!

BBC releases a trailer for Toast of Tinseltown

The BBC has released the first trailer for Toast of Tinseltown  – and the big news is that Clem Fandango is back!

In the brief clip, Matt Berry’s actor character Steven Toast is seen celebrating his new life in Los Angeles and landing a role in the next Star Wars blockbuster before encountering recording engineer Fandango in a sound studio.

The footage also shows Doon Mackichan returning as his useless agent Jane Plough and Robert Bathurst as Ed Howzer-Black, his landlord and friend.

The new six-part series will air from 10pm on January 4 on BBC Two and guest stars include Portlandia’s Fred Armisen as Russ Nightlife; Kayvan Novak as Des Wigwam; Susan Wokoma as Nina Armenian and Rashida Jones as Billie.

Berry created the show with Father Ted co-writer Arthur Matthews, and all 18 episodes of Toast Of London, which  originally aired on Channel 4 between 2012 and 2015, are now on the BBC’s iPlayer.
