Ricky Gervais's new Netflix series

Netflix has released the first trailer for Ricky Gervais' new series After Life.

In it, the comic stars as Tony, a man who loses his filter after his wife dies, and decides to say and do whatever he wants.

He thinks it’s like a superpower— not caring about himself or anyone else — but it turns out to be tricky when everyone is trying to save the nice guy they used to know.

The series also stars Kerry Godliman as Tony’s wife Lisa, Tom Basden as his brother-in-law Matt, Tony Way as his best friend Lenny, David Bradley as Tony’s dad, and Ashley Jensen as a nurse to Tony’s dad.

Penelope Wilton, David Earl, Joe Wilkinson. Mandeep Dhillon, Jo Hartley, Roisin Conaty, Tim Plester and Diane Morgan all have roles too.

The show will be released on Netflix on March 8.
