Ed Byrne and Dara O Briain get competitive on Top Gear

Dara O Brian and Ed Byrne bared their competitive sides when they appeared in Top Gear's 'car in a reasonably priced car' segment.

The long-standing pals – best men at each other's weddings – taunted each other on camera as they drove the course.

O Briain called his lap 'Operation Crush Ed's Dreams', adding: "Ed will be so disappointed when he loses this.'

Meanwhile Byrne yelled out triumphant phrases such as: 'This is for selling more tickets than me on tour', 'this is for the time you opened for me and were funnier', and 'stick that up Brian Cox's bum'.

The segment aired a few days ago, but the BBC have just put this clip on YouTube. You'll have to watch to see who was quickest.
