A Stand Up's Journey to The Edinburgh Fringe

Robin Ince's short fictional story

Robin Ince has recorded a spoken word piece about a fictional comedian's journey to Edinburgh.

The seven-minute story imagines the stand-up desperately thinking of ideas to theme his show, wasting money on a publicist, and obsessing about the number of posters in a venue – and is sure to resonate with stand-ups heading the Fringe.

Ince has two shows at the festival until the 13th: Pragmatic Insanity at The Stand at 18:20 and Rorschach Test at Gilded Balloon at the Museum 13:30.
