Lloyd Langford disses the National Anthem

Lloyd Langford has poured scorn on the National Anthem.

The comic said that God Save The Queen was essentially 'asking someone who doesn't exist to protect someone who shouldn't'.

However, his routine, at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, mostly concentrated on the less contentious issue why the weather was part of the news and his own appearance.

His set has aired on ABC2's Comedy Up Late show down under – and the clip has been posted online today:
