Eric Idle says team could reunite as Abba-style holograms

Monty Python could return as Abba-style holograms, Eric Idle has said.

The comic suggests technology could create avatars of  Graham Chapman, who died in 1989, and Terry Jones, who died in 2020 – as well as other surviving members Michael Palin, Terry Gilliam and  John Cleese.

And the holograms wouldn’t be riven by the increasingly bitter relations between the real-life Pythons.

Quoted in the Daily Star Sunday, Idle said: ‘I'm sure there will be an Al Monty Python at some point.

‘Let's face it, John Cleese can't do the silly walk any more.

‘It's already happened to ABBA and they're not even funny.’
