The Queen's getting a Mrs Brown DVD for Christmas

Brendan O'Carroll sends an advance copy

comedyMrs Brown's Boys creator Brendan O’Carroll says he sends advance copies of his sitcom to Buckingham Palace so the Queen can watch it before anyone else.

The comic, 64, says he will be sending copies of the two 2019 festive episodes to the Royals, brewing his own embargo on keeping the contents under wraps.

He told the This Morning: 'One of the few to get a preview copy is Buckingham Palace.

'I was speechless a couple of years ago when our producer first told me that they wanted an advance copy.'

He has also revealed that the first seasonal offering will pay homage to the classic 1946 movie It’s A Wonderful Life

Mrs Brown's Boys Christmas Special will air at 10.30pm on Christmas Eve on BBC One.
