Harriet Walter, Anne Reid and Freddie Fox join Youth
Sharon Horgan's forthcoming comedy
Three well-known British actors have joined the cast of Youth, a new comedy from Sharon Horgan due to air on HBO.
Harriet Walter, Anne Reid and Freddie Fox have all been confirmed in recurring roles in the series, which Horgan created and in which she also stars.
Youth follows a 50-year-old divorcee navigating life after the breakdown of her marriage – looking for love and intimacy while also caring for her ageing parents and trying to coax her adult son towards independence.
Walter is perhaps best known to audiences from her role in Succession, while Reid starred in the BBC drama The Sixth Commandment and the long-running series Last Tango in Halifax. Fox has appeared in House of the Dragon and the spy thriller Slow Horses.
The series is produced by Horgan's production company Merman, whose previous work includes Bad Sisters and Amandaland. Alongside Horgan, the executive producers are Faye Dorn, Jim Kleverweis and Dawn Shadforth, who will also direct.
