Rob Auton to stream his Time Show for 24hours

Show repeated 25 times over a day, with commentary

Rob Auton is streaming his stand-up special The Time Show for 24 hours from 8am on December 28.

The 57-minute special will be screened 25 times, with the comedian introducing and reflecting on the show between viewings throughout the day-long stream.

The Time Show received critical acclaim at the 2019 Edinburgh Fringe then recorded at the Tom Thumb Theatre in Margate – one of the world's smallest theatres – in March 2022.

Auton said: 'I am really pleased to be able to share this film with people in a new way. Getting to work with such a good team on a show I loved performing was a real highlight of my life so far in comedy and performance.'

It is directed by Stuart Laws, who said: 'The special is a beautiful and funny thing by itself. The chance for people to join in on a 24-hour stream of the show adds poignancy and silliness to it.

‘There are not many comedians that combine those two things as well as Rob so this stream should be essential viewing.'

Laws’ previous credits include James Acaster: Hecklers Welcome and Nish Kumar: Your Power, Your Control,

The Time Show is produced by Turtle Canyon Comedy and Plosive. Naomi Parnell of Plosive said: 'Rob is such a special performer and his shows have always blended expert comedy with moments of great profundity in the most beautiful ways. It's been a delight to work on this film alongside the brilliant Turtle Canyon who have captured the unique essence of Rob's live shows on camera.

It will stream on Turtle Canyon Comedy's YouTube page from 8am on December 28.
