‘I got away with everything by charm'

Ruby Wax last night became the fifth contestant to be eliminated from this year’s I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! 

She followed Alex Scott, Eddie Kadi, Vogue Williams, and Kelly Brook out of the jungle on the ITV reality show, having found herself in the bottom two with Lisa Riley.

On leaving, the 72-year-old comic told hosts Ant and Dec she would miss her camp-mates, saying: ‘'When I signed up I thought, "Let's give this a go" but I wasn't expecting this. This is family and I’m really sad I’ve lost them.'

‘I got away with everything by charm. I can’t believe I’ve been voted out, but OK, so be it.’

She added that inside the camp she ‘totally forgot the outside world, we shaved each other, investigated each other's lower regions. I was checking Lisa's bowels this morning, doesn't get any closer’.

Only seven stars now remain in the show, which reaches its climax on Sunday.
