It's Burns' night!
Comic Connor wins a Forth award in Edinburgh
Connor Burns has won an award for his Edinburgh Fringe run, handed out by local radio station Forth 1.
The comic performed a stand-up set at the ceremony in Usher Hall, which also honoured the likes of musicians Amy Macdonald, Wet Wet Wet and Claire Richards of Steps – as well as locals making a difference in their communities.
Burns, who is from Edinburgh, said: ‘I can't believe it. It’s such an honour to know it was voted for by the listeners.
‘Forth 1 have always looked after me as they do with new talent. This is my first award. I’m a many-time runner-up, so I’ve finally got something to hang on my wall.’
The award was for the show Gallus, which he performed at Just The Tonic Nucleus at the Fringe in August and which is now on tour.
