Yorkshire Comedy Awards announce their 2025 winners

Rob Rouse named best act

The winners of the Yorkshire Comedy Awards were announced last night. 

As voted for by the 3,000 members of the county’s comedy industry forum on Facebook, the results were unveiled at the Mill Valley Taproom in Cleckheaton. 

The results were as follows:

Best act: Rob Rouse (pictured)

Best alternative act: Joe Kent-Walters as Frankie Monroe

Breakthrough act: Hannah Margaret 

Best MC: Jed Salisbury

Best newcomer Rachel Hough and Josh Sedman

Legend award: Alistair Greaves

Best comedy club HiFi, Leeds

Best open mic night: Scratch N Sniff, Leeds

Best promoter: Anthony J Brown

Best independent comedy night: Big Duck, Leeds

Good egg award: Jack McLean, Steven Copley and Jack Gleadow's dad
