'Lack of sales' hits Patter In The Park

A major comedy festival planned for Scotland next weekend has been cancelled.

Patter In The Park should have brought names such as Dylan Moran, Milton Jones, Ed Byrne and Susie McCabe to Chatelherault Country Park in Hamilton.

However, the three-day event has been cancelled, apparently because of low ticket sales.

One fan took to X on Friday to ask Tom Davis – another star on the line-up – why the gig had been pulled.

He replied: ‘Lack of ticket sales I think mate, such a shame was looking forward to it… I was buzzing for it, always a great crack coming to Scotland.’

Promoters seem to have done very little to advertise the event. The only press it received was a write-up on the Scottish Sun website and Chortle did not receive any press release.

The festival has no website or social media presence of its own – and a search on X reveals the exchange with Davis to be the only mention of the event at all.
