Call-out from Edinburgh Fringe show

Writers are invited to submit their comedy scripts to a Fringe show that will stage their work with a cast of top comedians.

The shows, to be performed at Monkey Barrel Comedy, will be directed  Ed Bye, who has worked on some of the UK’s best loved comedies, including Red Dwarf and Absolutely Fabulous. 

Table Reads is being backed by producers DLT Entertainment, co-sponsors of the Edinburgh Comedy Awards, whose development team  will also help bring the scripts to life. 

Donald Taffner Jr, the company’s president, said: ‘We’re excited to collaborate with talented comedians and writers, offering audiences a unique insight into an essential part of the television development process.’

The project – now in its second year – is especially keen to hear from writers living or working in Scotland.
