2Northdown launches its fourth new act competition

Entires now open

London comedy venue 2Northdown has launched its fourth new act competition.

Entries are now open for the talent hunt, ahead of the heats starting on September 6 and running to the final on November 28.

Previous winners have been Leo Reich, who went on to support Simon Amstell on his UK tour, Katie Pritchard, who also won the Musical Comedy Award, and 2021 winner Dee Allum, pictured, who will be part of the  Pleasance Comedy Reserve at the forthcoming Edinburgh Fringe.

Acts will be scored on their writing, performance, originality, innovation and star quality, organisers say, and the top prize includes £500 and a paid spot on one of 2Northdown’s sister venue 21Soho’s monthly nights

Applicants must be 18+, must not have been performing regularly for more than five years, and must not yet have made their Edinburgh Fringe debut.
