Comedians get some Northern exposure

New festivals for Leeds and Stockton

Leeds and Stockton-on-Tees are to host two new weekend-long comedy festivals from next month.

Called The Last Stop To Edinburgh festivals, they were originally planned to take place before last month’s Fringe… but have retained their now-misleading titles.

Comedians taking part in the event, which mostly comprise a series of hour-long shows, include Tony Law, Bobby Mair and Loysio Gola, pictured.

The events take place at  The Carriageworks Theatre in Leeds from October 8 to 10, and at the Georgian Theatre in Stockton on October 22 and 23. Check the venue pages on Chortle for full listings.

The festivals have been put together by Shoe Cake Comedy, an independent comedy club producing pro and semi pro comedy nights across the North East and Yorkshire.
