Playing behind closed doors at Old Trafford

Jason Manford has been named as the first star to be taking part in this year’s Soccer Aid fundraising match.

The comic will be playing for the World XI against England at Old Trafford in September.

But because of coronavirus, it will be the first time in the charity’s 14-year history that the game will be played behind closed doors, with no crowd.

It’s not the first time Manford has played at Manchester United’s ground, having played at another charity gig there a decade ago… and missed a penalty.
