Still Game gets a Bafta

Still Game took home the outstanding contribution to television award at last night’s Scottish Bafta.

Presenting the award – which had been announced in advanced –  Line Of Duty star Martin Compston, who has appeared in the show, praised it as ‘the best Scottish TV show ever made’.

It was the only TV comedy among the night’s winners.

But Jon S Baird won a best director Bafta for Stan & Ollie, the Laurel and Hardy biopic starring Steve Coogan and John C Reilly.

And the dark comedy That Joke Isn't Funny Anymore, about a man who gets caught in a perpetual loop of joke telling after a brain injury won the short film Bafta for its makers Hannah Currie and Beth Allan
