
James Corden to host the Tonys again
Comic will toast the best of Broadway
James Corden has been announced as host of this year's Tony Awards for Broadway theatre.
He previously hosted it three years ago, and won one for his role in One Man. Two Guvnors in 2012.
The ceremony will be broadcast live in the US from Radio City Music Hall in New York on June 9 on CBS - the network that also broadcasts his he Late Late Show,.
Corden said: 'I’m thrilled to be returning to host the Tony Awards, the Broadway community is very dear to my heart and I’m beyond proud to be part of this incredibly special night.
Executive producers Ricky Kirshner and Glenn Weiss said in a statement that Corden was 'Hilarious. Insanely talented. Musical savant. Brilliantly unpredictable.'
Nominations for the 2019 Tony Awards will be announced on April 30.
